MahaDevastanam
Terms of service
Last updated 20 September 2026
These terms cover the MahaDevastanam app and website. By using them you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What MahaDevastanam does
We connect devotees with temples and priests. The puja itself is performed by the temple or the priest, not by us. We are not a temple, and we do not perform religious services.
Your account
- Give accurate details, and keep your password to yourself.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us if you think someone else has your password.
- You can delete your account at any time from Profile in the app.
Bookings
- A booking is a request until the temple confirms it.
- The temple sets the price, what the puja includes, and how long it takes.
- A temple or priest may be unable to perform a puja, for example on a festival day or in an emergency. They will tell you, and the booking is cancelled.
- Cancellations and any refund are handled by the temple, under the temple's own rules.
- Offerings are paid to the temple. We do not take card payments in the app.
For temples and priests
- Apply through the website. We review every application before creating an account.
- Keep your pujas, prices and availability correct, and honour the bookings you accept.
- Only list a temple you are authorised to represent.
- We may remove a listing that is inaccurate, or where devotees are let down repeatedly.
Behaviour
Do not misuse the service: no false bookings, no impersonating a temple or a priest, no attempts to break into accounts or systems, and nothing unlawful.
Content
Temples and priests keep ownership of the photos and descriptions they upload, and give us permission to show them in the app and on the website. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to use.
Availability
We try to keep the service running, but we cannot promise it is available without interruption. We may change or stop features, and will give notice where we reasonably can.
Responsibility
We are responsible for running the platform. We are not responsible for how a puja is performed, for a temple's own rules, or for any loss that follows from those, to the extent the law allows. Nothing here removes rights you have under Indian consumer law.
Ending it
You may stop using MahaDevastanam and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will say why.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and significant changes are announced in the app.
