Delete your account

You can delete your MahaDevastanam account at any time. Deleting is permanent and cannot be undone.

In the app — the fastest way

Open the app, go to the Profile tab, tap Delete my account, and confirm with your password. Your account is removed immediately; nothing else is needed from you.

If you can't use the app

If you have already uninstalled the app, or you cannot sign in, fill in the form below with the email address on the account. We delete the account and reply to that address. We do this within 30 days, and normally within a few working days.

What is deleted

• Your login, and your name, email address, phone number and profile photo.
• The details a puja needs — gothra, nakshatra, rashi and anything similar you entered.
• Your bookings, including ones still to come, which are cancelled.
• If you look after a temple or serve as a priest: your personal details and your login.

What is kept, and for how long

• The temple's record of pujas it actually performed. This stays with the temple as its own record of its services, but it no longer carries your name or your personal details — it is anonymised at the moment your account is deleted.
• A temple's pujas and its other devotees' bookings stay in place if you were the person looking after that temple, so the temple keeps running for everyone else.
• Server logs, which include the address your device connected from, are kept for up to 90 days so we can keep the service secure, then deleted automatically.

Nothing is kept for advertising or sold to anyone, because we do neither.

Questions before you decide

If you only want to change something rather than leave, you can edit your details in the app under Profile, and cancel a single booking from My bookings. Our privacy policy explains everything we hold.
