Common questions

How do I book a puja?

Open the app, tap Book Puja, choose a temple and the puja you want, pick a date and a time from the priest's available slots, and confirm. The booking appears under Bookings, and the temple confirms it from their side.

How do I pay?

You do not pay in the app. MahaDevastanam takes no payments and has no in-app purchases. The amount shown next to a puja is the temple's own offering for that ceremony, and you give it to the temple directly when the puja is performed, exactly as you would in person.

How do I cancel a booking?

Open Bookings, choose the booking and cancel it there. The temple and the priest are told straight away.

I've forgotten my password

Email us from the address on your account and we will reset it for you the same day.

My booking hasn't been confirmed

A booking stays pending until the temple accepts it. If it has been pending for more than a day, email us with the puja name and the date and we will chase the temple.

How do I change my name, phone number or photo?

In the app, open Profile and edit your details there. The sign-in email cannot be changed in the app — email us and we will change it for you.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Profile → Delete my account. If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, use our delete your account page and we will do it for you.

I look after a temple, or I am a priest. How do I join?

You can register in the app and choose Temple or Priest when you create your account, or apply from our home page and we will set you up.

Something in the app isn't working

Email us with your phone model, what you were doing and what you saw. A screenshot helps. We will reply with a fix or a workaround.
